ACCOG Leadership
"Come, follow me, said Jesus, and I will make you fishers of men." Matthew 4:19
Senior pastor

Pastor Brett and his wife Mollie were both born and raised in South Georgia. They were fortunate enough to be reared in Pastor’s homes and are extremely grateful for the godly heritage their lives were built upon.
After graduating from their respective high schools, they both chose Lee University in Cleveland, TN as the place they desired to continue their education and call of ministry. It was there God allowed their paths to cross and united them together as a couple. In 1992, Mollie graduated with an Elementary Education Degree and Pastor Brett followed shortly thereafter with a degree in Church Music.
After college God opened the door for full time ministry as the Youth and Music Pastor at the East Calhoun Church of God in Calhoun, GA. They continued in that ministry area for the next 10 plus years while serving in four different churches. In 2001, God began to nudge their heart concerning pastoring a church of their own. They followed that leading to the small rural community of Pitts, GA and became the senior pastor of the Pitts Church of God. Over the next four years the church saw substantial growth, growing from around 50 people to nearly 200 people in attendance.
In January of 2007, God opened the door for the Jarriel’s to move to Valdosta where they became the senior pastor of the Azalea City Church of God. They are thrilled with this tremendous opportunity and look forward to many years of fruitful ministry.
Pastor Brett & Mollie are blessed with three beautiful
children:
Aaron, age 12
Blaire Ashley, age 8
Chloe, age 20 months

Music and college Pastor
Taran and Kyle both have been blessed to be raised in
Christian ministry homes. Such an upbringing has been the foundation for
a breadth of ministry
experience at a young age. Kyle was born and raised in a suburb city of
Tampa called Plant City. Taran’s family has been all the way up the
east coast ministering in different states and
churches, but the majority of her life has been spent in Clearwater/ Largo,
Florida. Like many Church of God couples, they met at youth camp. Kyle and
Taran will be getting married on July 7th of this year.
Kyle and Taran's prayer as they join the Azalea City team is to be able
to help lead the congregation into an intimate worship experience with
the body of believers and with God. While worship to God is individual,
it is not separated from the community of believers that we belong to.
We must all learn to live and worship in community with those around
us. Our diversity in background, style, and opinion is not something
to be frowned upon, but to be celebrated. God loves the praises of His
diverse people.
